Hansuman regularly organizes the Hanuman Chalisa Marathon in Holland / the Netherlands, where you get to experience the power of the Hanuman Chalisa in a ±5 hour session of continuous singing. It is hard to describe in word, it is a kind of singing-meditation.
In that time we sing the Hanuman Chaleesa approximately 33 times.
Anyone can participate. Good voice or experience is not necessary.
Some practice beforehand is advisable. Ask for practice material.
The 7th Hanuman Chalisa Marathon will be in Groesbeek, Holland, on Sunday afternoon november 4th, 2018.
We also sing the Hanuman Chalisa one time at the beginning of most Ecstatic Chants/ Kirtan-Mantra Happenings.
Hanuman Chalisa English
The Hanuman Chalisa is a hymn dedicated to Hanuman, the monkey-god, and the monkey-god represents the strength to overcome all obstructions, all problems, anything that is in the way of us accomplishing our goal.
And of course our ultimate goal is to open our heart.
So it’s a way of cleaning the mirror of our hearts, and it’s an invocation to the power and strength within us. (Krishna Das).
Hanuman also stands for service to others, and he is the Patron of Kirtan-Singing, as he sings SitaRam all day long.
